The Air Quality Research Branch is one of the Branches of the Atmospheric and Climate Science Directorate, Meteorological Service of Canada, Environment Canada. The Branch was formed in 1971, originally to study the chemistry and physics of the atmosphere as it pertains to acid rain, but now the staff, the largest group of atmospheric specialists in Canada, studies a variety of atmospheric pollution problems. 1, record 1, English, - Air%20Quality%20Research%20Branch

La Direction de la recherche sur la qualité de l'air est l'une des divisions de la Direction générale des sciences atmosphériques et climatiques, du Service météorologique du Canada, d'Environnement Canada. Lors de sa création, en 1971, la Direction avait comme mandat d'étudier la chimie et la physique de l'atmosphère en ce qui a trait aux pluies acides.
